How to get Hot Stone Massage?

Massage therapy not only provides relaxation and relief to muscle strain and fatigue, but also a therapeutic massage also improves your health.

Massage therapy is always an effective treatment for relaxation. As the people realizes that massage is not only for relaxation but it also provides effective therapy to prevent diseases there are many other therapies discovered for the specific treatment.

Hot stone massage is a variation of classic massage therapy. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist holds the stones and uses them to massage certain areas of the body.

Preparation:
There are some things you require prior you start massage and here are the list of the things that you need to collect before starting your relaxation therapy with the hot stone massage.
  • Collect 48 to 56 stones. (It is possible to use less stones; however you will need to continually keep them reheated. If you do not want to continually reheat stones, make sure you think this factor when you order your massage stones.)

  • Arrange Crock-Pot or roasting pan

  • Get Baby oil or massage oil

  • Arrange Towels

  • Serving tongs or a slotted spoon


Steps to follow:
  1. Season your stones by rubbing them down with baby or massage oil

  2. Place your stones in the Crock-Pot or roasting pan and cover with water

  3. Heat the water until the stones are nice and warm, not piping hot

  4. Use the slotted spoon or tongs to remove the stones from the water and dry them on a towel

  5. Test the temperature of the stones on your wrist, burns are the opposite of relaxing

  6. Have your lucky recipient lie, stomach down, on a flat surface

  7. Gently place the largest stones on larger muscles (shoulder blades, both sides of the spine, and lower back)

  8. Ask him/her where else he/she feels tension and place the smaller stones accordingly

  9. As the stones cool remove the stones, Undrape your recipient’s legs (one at a time), and remove the stones from the leg area. Cover the legs back up.
  10. Rub the muscle with your hand, letting the recipient’s preference guide the amount of pressure you use.

  11. Other areas to consider for the massage are palms, arms, neck, legs and feet.
